Roasted Cabbage Steaks
Main Ingredients:
- 1 head cabbage, red or green
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon fresh minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon fresh chopped thyme (or basil or oregano)
- Nonstick spray
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
Recipe Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter on low heat. Add the thyme and garlic, simmer for 1 minute, then remove from the heat.
- Spray baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray. Cut cabbage into 1/2 inch steaks, place on sheet and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Pour some of the butter mixture over the steaks to coat them and repeat every 10 minutes, roasting for 40 minutes or until tender.
- Top with the shredded parmesan cheese and serve immediately.
